Mini-Quizzes have become a fad in today's busy society as countless individuals are looking for different ways to relieve their stress. Many find these quizzes habit-forming because players only need a grasp of general knowledge to succeed. Because of the popularity of Mini-Quizzes, it is slowly developing into a favorite pastime and gradually becoming at par with other hobby games such as online
poker and chess. Here is an article that shows what mini-quizzes are all about.
First, name your Mini-Quiz. If you can't think of a name, just type anything; you can change it later by selecting the Properties tab.
Next, select the Fields tab. A Mini-Quiz is made up of two kinds of fields;
Input fields and
Results fields. In order to be useful, funny or interesting, a Mini-Quiz must have at least one of each.
If this is your first Mini-Quiz, call your first field "Name" and select Input(Text) from the pulldown below. When you hit save, the field will show up on screen (with [Edit] and [Delete] options). Now when somebody takes your Mini-Quiz they will have to type something in the Name box (probably their name, but they could enter a nickname, or whatever they want, really).
Right now, your Mini-Quiz has no results, so click on [Add a Field], and open the pulldown menu to see all the different Field types. This is where things get interesting. Random Date, Number, Money and Percentage will all assign a number within the range you give to any set of inputs people could enter into your Mini-Quiz. So you could name a Field "You will get married in:" and select Random Date, pick the highest and lowest year for the Date and Voila! You have a simple Mini-Quiz about when people will get married. Of course, that is just the beginning.
The most interesting kind of Results field is Random Select. When you set up a Random Select Field, you get to make up a bunch of options, each typed on its own line, and users will each see one result (per Random Select Field) which the Mini-Quiz will chose from that list. For example, you could name a Field: "Your first child will be named:", and fill in the Random Select with normal names (Jim, Bob, Hakim, Yang, Sally, Sara etc...) or maybe throw in weird ones like Apple, Moon Unit and Dweezel. This is where you can get really creative. If your Mini-Quiz has multiple Random Select fields, that give funny, interesting, insightful, or just way out unexpected answers, then a lot of people might take your Mini-Quiz and post it in their blogs... Who knows, you might see it on next week's Most Popular list.
